You'll find JJ and the Nasty Bastards in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Their regular gigs are at Bad Boys on the Beach each Thursday and Saturday evening from 5:00 to 9:00 and you can also see them at the Blue Parrot Bar on Monday and Wednesdays from 5:00 to 9:00.

JJ aka Jeff JohnstonJJ founded the Nasty Bastards in 2006 after moving to Playa del Carmen from Dallas, Texas. Formerly a commercial real estate developer, he renewed his interests in music after retiring in Mexico. Jeff is a music promoter, writes music, plays keyboard and is the lead vocalist with the Nasty Bastards Band. After moving to Playa, JJ met and married his lovely wife Kim and they are now proud parents of their one year old son, Kaj. |
 EnriqueEnrique plays drums. He came to Playa del Carmen for a three day trip 14 years ago and never left. He is married to Aurora (see bio below) and lives in Playa del Carmen. Enrique is an incredible artist doing murals as well as digital and commercial art. |
 TonyTony plays lead guitar. Tony started playing guitar in High School and at 17 formed his first band playing original songs. He later played at Café Rock in Azteca near Mexico City. He also played in Puerto Vallarta before coming to Playa del Carmen in 2000. Since arriving in Playa del Carmen he has played with Bradley James, Deja-vu and Mojo Zone, Quarzo, and with Michael Grady. Tony and his wife Dawn are proud parents of new baby Shane. |
 NoeNoe plays bass and lives in Playa del Carmen. Noe is married with three children and is known to be the stylish bastard and, on occasion, has been known to walk on water. |
 Barefoot SkinnyTim is now officially the newest Nasty Bastard. Tim is a singer/songwriter who performed in Belize, Central America for 13 years as Barefoot Skinny. He has lived in and around Playa for 3 years now performing with several area bands on keyboards, guitar, and vocals. As of January 2009, he is now the newest official member of The Nasty Bastards.  AuroraAurora sings backup vocals, solos, and has been known to play the kazoo. Aurora has a degree in music and is married to Enrique. They own and operate the world famous juice and snack bar, Jugos Salterines de la Rana, located on Ave 10 and Calle 54. |
