JJ - Jeff Johnston Band Leader & Vocalist on Keyboard JJ aka Jeff Johnston
JJ founded the Nasty Bastards in 2006 after moving to Playa del Carmen from Dallas, Texas. Formerly a commercial real estate developer, he renewed his interests in music after retiring in Mexico. He plays with the Nasty Bastards a night or two a week. JJ and his lovely wife Kim are proud parents of their son Kaj, born on Dec 11, 2007.
Drummer Extraordinaire EnriqueEnrique
Enrique plays drums. He came to Playa del Carmen for a three day trip 14 years ago and never left. He is married to Aurora and lives in Playa del Carmen. He also plays with Brothers in Arms. It is not unusual to see Aurora singing backup vocals for the Nasty Bastards.
Lead Guitarist TonyTony
Tony plays lead guitar. Tony started playing guitar in High School and at 17 formed his first band playing original songs. He later played at Café Rock in Azteca near Mexico City. He also played in Puerto Vallarta before coming to Playa del Carmen in 2000. (read more)

Noe plays bass and lives in Playa del Carmen. Noe is married with three children.
Special Guest Performer Chris BolisterChris Bolister
Chris is a talented singer songwriter from Islington, North London. His songs include the dark and chilling "We R Broken" and the optimistic and dreamy "Whisky River." He spends several months a year in Playa del Carmen and often hooks up with the Nasty Bastards. Catch him anywhere you can!
Rock and Blues Guitarist IsmalIsmal
Ismal plays with the band when he is in Playa del Carmen. Ismal started playing the guitar with his older brother in Tijuana, Mexico as a teenager. He learned well to say the least. He is currently back in Tijuana. We're hopeful he'll return to Playa during the high season. Ismal is an incredible blues guitarist!
